Great Bend Fire/EMS
Firefighters made six ambulance runs Friday, three Saturday and three Sunday.
At 6:06 p.m. Saturday units responded to 3632 Meadowlark to check electrical wiring that was damaged during a remodeling project. There was no fire found; however, the owner was advised to keep the power shut off and contact a certified electrician to repair the damage wire.
At 5:35 p.m. Sunday units responded to an automatic alarm at 245 NE 30 Road, in student housing at Barton Community College. There was no fire or damage; the alarm was triggered by cooking smoke in one of the rooms.

Great Bend Police
A narcotics violation was reported at 1:34 a.m. Friday in the area of 32nd St. Pl. and Main.
Assault was reported at 5501 Ninth St.
A narcotics violation was reported Friday in the area of Lakin Ave. and Lincoln St.
Police responded to the 800 block of Heizer St. at 11:15 a.m. Saturday after receiving a report of a narcotics violation. Kasey Wagner was arrested and booked in the county jail on charges of possession of meth and paraphernalia in lieu of $10,000 bond. Wagner also had outstanding warrants from Great Bend Municipal Court.
A non-injury accident was reported at 1:27 p.m. Saturday at McDonald’s restaurant, 3307 10th St.
Theft of a cell phone was reported at 2115 Sunset Road.
Theft of fuel was reported at 4:57 p.m. Sunday at the Kwik Shop No. 753, 3907 Broadway.
At 6:10 p.m. Sunday, GBPD received a report from Sedgwick County law enforcement that a Mercury Milan previously reported stolen had been recovered.
Officer Shane Becker and K-9 Lazar were called to a traffic stop at 12:04 a.m. Monday in the 1800 block of Main Street.

Barton County Sheriff
Cattle were out at 1:48 p.m. Friday in the area of NE 110 Ave. and NE 20 Road.
There was an alarm at 4:38 a.m. Saturday at Central Plains High School in Claflin. The building was secure.
Fraud was reported Saturday at 287 SW 20 Ave. in Great Bend.
Theft was reported Sunday at 609 Windmill Lane, Great Bend.
There was an alarm at 421 Wilkins St. in Heizer on Sunday.
Cattle were out at 8:28 p.m. Sunday in the area of NE 60 Ave. and NE 130 Road.
At 5:33 a.m. Monday, a vehicle was found in the road in the area of North Washington Ave. and NW 50 Road. It was towed.
