Great Bend Fire Department

Firefighters made nine ambulance runs on Monday, eight Tuesday and six Wednesday.

There was one false alarm Monday.

 

Great Bend Police

A broken window and other damage at 1515 10th St. was reported Monday.

A hit-and-run vehicle struck a parked vehicle at 2512 16th St., it was reported Monday.

Theft of a red and silver 26-inch Roadmaster boys bicycle from 1101 Kansas Ave. was reported Monday. Loss was $80.

Alleged shoplifting by a known person was reported Monday at the Kwik Shop at 2334 Main.

A Great Bend resident reported someone made fraudulent charges on his company credit card. Three cases were filed.

A vehicle driven by Ronald Boll was westbound on 10th St. at 5:22 p.m. Monday and struck a vehicle driven by Bernice Deines, who was stopped in traffic.

A burglary at 1430 Ninth St. was reported Monday. Someone broke in through the back door of the residence and took medication. Loss was $270.

Two suspected shoplifters were detained at Autozone, 2219 10th St., at 8:55 p.m. Monday.

Someone broke into a car at 801 Stone St. and took several items, it was reported Monday.

A domestic battery was reported at 2:32 a.m. Tuesday after the victim went to Great Bend Regional Hospital.

An officer handled a curfew violation in the 2500 block of 20th St. at 3:50 a.m. Tuesday.

A vehicle driven by Amber Rinehart was westbound on 10th St. at 9:46 a.m. Tuesday and struck a vehicle driven by Maria Armendariz, who was stopped in westbound traffic. Armendariz was transported to Great Bend Regional Hospital with minor injuries.

A burglary at 213 Pine St. was reported Tuesday. Items were taken from the home.

A vehicle driven by Terry Holopirek was westbound on 10th St. at 5:48 p.m. Tuesday and struck a vehicle driven by Brian Stout, who was southbound on Sheridan turning east onto 10th.

Theft of four generators from a storage shed at 3118 Washington Ave. was reported Tuesday.

 

Barton County Sheriff

Schenkel Construction, 106 McKinley St., was broken into between Nov. 23 and Monday, Dec. 5. Items taken included two chain saws, hand tools and an air compressor.

A vehicular burglary at 608 Patton Road was reported Tuesday, along with theft of computer repair equipment and criminal damage.

Theft of a pull-behind "bush hog" mower from 479 SW 30 Road was reported Tuesday.

Theft of a trailer license plate from 3725 Second St. was reported Tuesday.
