Great Bend Fire Department
Firefighters made four ambulance runs on Tuesday. At 3:54 p.m. they responded to 1208 Eisenhower, where a breaker box had been on fire. Wheatland Electric asked firefighters to make sure the fire was completely out.

A vehicle driven by Alva Farris was eastbound in the 1700 block of 10th St. at 9:35 a.m. Tuesday and sideswiped a vehicle driven by Renae Phillips.
A 41-year-old male was served a notice to appear (NTA) in municipal court after allegedly taking items from Walmart without paying for them.
Theft of a Kansas license plate from a Great Bend residence was reported Tuesday. It was recovered that night in the roadway on Lakin Ave.
A 36-year-old woman was served an NTA was allegedly breaking a window on a vehicle at 2822 12th St.

Barton County Sheriff
A vehicle driven by Randall Mitchell was southbound on NE 110 Ave. at 9:56 p.m. Tuesday when two deer came out of the ditch. One deer collided with his vehicle.
