Great Bend Fire Department
Firefighters made 10 ambulance runs Thursday.
At 9:19 p.m. Thursday they responded to a suspicious grass fire in front of a residence at 1206 Odell St.

Great Bend Police
A burglary at 1426 10th St. was reported Thursday. Rigid-brand drills and a carrying case were stolen.
Theft from a residence at 1811 Jefferson St. was reported Thursday.
Criminal damage to a Ford Focus at 5703 Hemlock Dr. was reported Thursday.
Theft of a camera from 1409 Williams St. was reported Thursday.
A red semitrailer pulling a flatbed trailer with an oil field tank on it was southbound on Main turning east onto U.S. 281 Bypass at 4:24 p.m. Thursday and struck the traffic lights. The driver left the area.
Damage to the air pump at Kwik Shop, 2334 Main, was reported Thursday.

Barton County Sheriff
A Ford F-250 driven by Maurice Yarmer hit one of Yarmer’s own calves in the 1100 block of NW 230 Road at 8:27 a.m. Thursday.
An oilfield truck clipped an electrical line on NW 150 Road near NW 80 Ave. at 3:49 p.m. Thursday.
