Great Bend Fire Department
Firefighters made six ambulance runs Friday, nine Saturday and six Sunday.
They performed a carbon monoxide check on Saturday.
At 4:56 p.m. Sunday, they were dispatched to 723 Frey St. where an electrical box was sparking and burning. The residents of the house said they were cutting a tree down and it hit the wire running to the house. The electric company responded.

Barton County Sheriff
A Chevrolet Avero driven by Shauna M. Redetzke, 22, Hoisington, was northbound in the 1500 block of Susank Road at 2:05 a.m. Saturday when she swerved to miss a deer, over-corrected and lost control of the car. The left rear corner of the car struck the east portion of the ditch, causing the front end to become airborne. Hoisington EMS transported Redetzke to Clara Barton Hospital in Hoisington for treatment for minor injuries.
Theft of items from D&D Machine, SW 60 Road and SW 80 Ave., was reported Saturday.

Great Bend Police
On Friday, a known person was served a notice to appear in Great Bend Municipal Court for alleged shoplifting from Walmart.
Someone scratched a vehicle at 209 Hickory St., it was reported Friday.
The Golden Belt Humane Society picked up a dog at 319 Firethorn on Friday afternoon, after a child was bitten.
A vehicle driven by Kathern Ball was eastbound on Broadway at 10:45 a.m. Saturday and struck a vehicle driven by Deleah Townson, who was southbound on Stone St.
Theft of a vehicle tag from 600 Odell St. was reported Saturday.
An aggravated assault at Wendy’s restaurant, 3519 10th St., was reported at 6:14 p.m. Saturday. Police were attempting to locate a known person.
A gas skip at 1315 10th St. was reported at 10:16 p.m. Saturday.
At 1:12 a.m. Sunday, it was reported that a hit-and-run vehicle struck a parked pickup in the 1300 block of Kansas Ave.
A vehicle driven by Michelle Bradburn was westbound at 5:20 p.m. Sunday and struck an awning attached to the building at 5220 10th St.
Theft of a vehicle tag from 2133 11th St. Apt. 2 was reported Sunday.
