Great Bend Fire Department
Firefighters made six ambulance runs Tuesday and 11 Wednesday.
At 12:25 p.m. Tuesday they responded to a possible fire in the area of SW 60 Ave. and U.S. 56, but found nothing. At 10:37 p.m. they responded to a ditch and field fire caused by fireworks at 38 NW 50 road to assist Hoisington.
At 12:27 a.m. Wednesday there was a small grass fire at 2700 Washington. Police reports show someone in a blue Ford thew fireworks out the window. At 3:28 p.m. and 7:52 p.m. there were grass fires in the area of Second and Kiowa Street.
At 3:45 p.m. a faulty detector caused a fire alarm to go off at St Rose. At 4:49 p.m. there was a small grass fire at 4781 10th St.
At 1:27 a.m. Thursday there was a grass fire at Second and Main. Police received a report of a fire on the south side of the dike at Second and Heizer and two juveniles running from the area, but did not find them.

Great Bend Police
A vehicle driven by LeRoy Weathers was backing south on Lakin at 10:29 a.m. Tuesday and struck a vehicle driven by Darlene Owens, who had turned east to go into the parking lot.
A vehicle driven by Betty Robinson was westbound turning into a driveway in the 2800 block of Eighth St. at 10:46 a.m. Tuesday and struck a parked vehicle.
A vehicle driven by Nicole Potter was backing northbound at 1811 Main at 5:32 p.m. Tuesday and struck a vehicle driven by Gary Martin as it entered the parking lot.
Amanda Piland backed from a private drive in the 3300 block of Forest Ave. at 12:58 a.m. Wednesday and struck a parked vehicle.
A sex offense in Great Bend was reported.
A $20 gas skip at 2334 Main was reported at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday.
Pawnee County received a stolen vehicle from a Great Bend case.
Brandon Werth allegedly got into an argument and jumped out of a moving vehicle on Polk St. at 9:24 p.m. Wednesday. He was taken to Great Bend Regional Hospital, where he was treated for minor injuries and released. A non-prosecution, disorderly conduct case was taken. The accident report on this incident (at 9:55 p.m.) shows Danielle Werth was driving east in the 3300 block of Forest Ave. when passenger Brandon Werth jumped from the vehicle.
A hit-and-run vehicle was northbound in the 1700 block of Monroe St. and struck a parked vehicle.
A vehicle driven by Jennifer Sickle was eastbound on 24th St. at 10:45 p.m. Wednesday and struck a vehicle driven by Robyn Willard, who was northbound on K-96. Sickle was cited for running the stop sign; Willard went to GBRH and was treated for minor injuries.
Theft of a green 1997 Ford Expedition with Kansas license number 953 DHN from the yard at 204 Chestnut St. was reported at 2:47 a.m. Thursday. Loss was $1,000.
Criminal damage to property at 436 Cedar St. was reported at 3:27 a.m. Thursday. Someone broke a patio window. Loss was $300.

Barton County Sheriff
Theft of several radiators and other farm equipment from 1566 East Barton County Road was reported Tuesday.
A male was slightly injured when he rolled an all-terrain vehicle on south U.S. 281 under the bridge, it was reported at 3:26 p.m. Wednesday.
