Barton County Sheriff

Vehicles collided at 17th and K-96 after one driver failed to yield, at 8:56 a.m. Tuesday. Great Bend ambulance responded, but no injuries were reported.

A burglary and theft of a television from 5540 Second St. Lot F was reported Tuesday.

A pickup driven by David Vansteenburg hit a cow on K-156, north of NE 30 Road (Bissell’s Point Road), at 10:18 p.m. Tuesday. A few minutes later, a tractor-trailer driven by Scott Frederick Cox also hit the cow. Neither driver was injured.

 

Great Bend Police

Tuesday reports:

A vehicle was broken into at 5844 16th St. Terrace No. 58.

Items were stolen from a residence at 2703 Broadway Ave. Lawn furniture was also taken.

A vehicle at 5839 16th St. Terrace B51 was broken into and items taken.

Vehicles collided at Lakin and Main at 1:20 p.m.

Property was stolen from a vehicle at 5908 Hemlock Drive.

Two 8-foot banquet tables and several chairs belonging to the Oddfellows were stolen from Fuller Grove, 15 SW 40 Ave. Some property was later returned.

A storage shed on 10th Street was broken into.

A hit-and-run vehicle struck a parked vehicle at 1809 24th St., and another vehicle was hit at 5625 10th Street.
