Great Bend Fire Department
Firefighters made four ambulance runs Tuesday.
At 8:17 a.m. they responded to an oil pumping unit NE of Doonan Truck that was smoking. They found no fire, but the belts on the pumping had burned up.
At 1:38 p.m. firefighters checked a possible gas leak at 1819 Heizer St.
At 9:20 p.m. they responded to a possible grass fire in the back yard at 192 SE 1 Ave., where they found an unauthorized burning in a barrel during the burn ban.

Barton County Sheriff
A vehicle hit a deer on SE 15 Road and SE 105 Ave. at 8:59 p.m. Tuesday.

Great Bend Police
A GMC Sonoma was keyed Monday night at the ball fields, 4800 17th St. Terrace
A windshield in a Ford Explorer in the library parking lot at 1409 Williams was broken, it was reported Tuesday. Loss was $500.
The door to a shed at 2118 Main was broken, it was reported Tuesday.
Someone threw a brick at a car at 2107 18th St. sometime Monday night.
Someone threw a piece of concrete through a back window at 2310 Lincoln St., it was reported Tuesday.
Theft of a skateboard from 1409 Williams St. was reported Tuesday.
Someone threw a rock through the back window of a Chevy truck at 2811 Meadowlark Lane, it was reported Tuesday.
A hit-and-run vehicle struck a Barton County Sheriff’s Office vehicle that was parked at 1710 Hubbard St.
A vehicle driven by Brian LeFebvre was backing from 809 Coolidge St. No. 324 at 8:05 p.m. Tueday and struck a legally parked vehicle. LeFebvre was arrested and booked into the Barton County Jail for driving under the influence.
The mirror was damaged on a Dodge Dakota truck at 2011 Jackson St.
