Great Bend Fire Department

Firefighters made one ambulance run on Thursday.

At 2:25 a.m. they responded to 133 Locust St., where a smoke detector had been activated by cooking. There was no fire.

At 9:09 a.m. they responded to 96 SE 40 Road, were lighting had struck the house of Richard Stalcup, causing damage. Fire Chief Mike Napolitano said the owner would contact an electrician to check the electrical system for further unseen damage.

 

Great Bend Police

Thursday reports:

After a disturbance at an Eighth St. address at 10 a.m., an individual was served a notice to appear in municipal court for allegedly breaking a mirror on a work truck.

A notice to appear was served on a 23-year-old male for alleged criminal use of a financial card.

A T-shirt was shoplifted from 3907 Broadway Ave. Wednesday night. Loss was $13.

A Social Security card was booked into "found property."

An individual reported someone making fraudulent charges on his credit card. Loss was $1,355.
