Barton County Sheriff

A vehicle hit a deer in the 400 block of North Washington Ave., shortly before 9 p.m. Friday.

A car hit a basketball goal in a driveway at 415 Kiowa Road late Friday and drove away. Damage to the pole was discovered and reported Saturday morning.

A vehicle hit a deer on SW 70 Ave. and West U.S. 56 at 10 p.m. Saturday.

Theft of a cutting torch from 2100 NE 40 Ave. was reported Tuesday.

 

Great Bend Police

Tuesday reports:

Someone broke into a shed behind the business at 2337 Washington and took items.

Someone attempted to charge $3,500 on a Great Bend resident’s financial card.

A vehicle driven by Kimberly Ringwald rear-ended a vehicle driven by Julie Stoss at 19th and Main, at 1:37 p.m.

A vehicle pulling a trailer was westbound on 10th St. at 5:20 p.m. when something fell off, striking the front of a vehicle behind it, driven by Robert Wiley.

A Ford Mustang was damaged while parked at the Wetlands Aquatic Center.

Someone broke the driver’s side mirror on a vehicle at 1436 16th St. Loss was $200.

Someone broke the back window on a vehicle at 1609 Heizer St. Loss was $300.

 

Great Bend Fire Department

Firefighters made 11 ambulance runs on Tuesday. There were no fires.
