Barton County Sheriff
A 2004 Honda CRV went off the road on NE 20 Ave. at Cardinal Lane sometime on the night of Wednesday, May 30 and sustained damage that was reported Thursday afternoon.
A vehicle went through a ditch, damaging a fence on NW 100 Road and NW 30 Ave. at 1:29 p.m. Thursday, in a possible injury accident.
At 2:48 p.m. Thursday, officers received a complaint that a dump truck with a trailer lost items off its wheels on Boyd Road and broke another vehicle’s windshield.
A vehicle hit a deer on North Washington Ave. Friday morning.
A line was cut on a pumping unit north of Claflin, in the 1500 block of NE 160 Ave.
The Claflin High School sign at NE 130 Ave. and K-156 was spray painted with graffiti, it was discovered Friday.
A Pawnee County deputy stopped a Pontiac Sunfire in the 1100 block of SW 70 Road at the Barton-Pawnee County line and requested the K-9 Unit’s assistance at 9:06 p.m. Saturday.
At 10:43 p.m. Saturday, Barton County deputies were dispatched to the diversion dam at 465 SW 60 Ave., where a 16-year-old girl had been battered.
Deputies responded to a report of a large party (approximately 35 cars) with underage drinking in the 100 block of School House Road at 2 a.m. Sunday. The party disbursed and no case was taken.
A jeep ran over “an explosive item hid under a rock” at the diversion dam, 365 SW 60 Ave., shortly before 5 p.m. Sunday. It exploded, blowing out a tire. No one was injured.
A welder and ammunition were taken from a parked pickup in the 900 block of NE 140 Ave.

Great Bend Police
Items were thrown into a pool at 5201 Timber Creek Road sometime last Wednesday night, it was discovered Thursday. A criminal damage to property case was taken.
A GPS unit was stolen from a vehicle at 1718 Odell St. Loss was $130.
Theft of two bicycles and a scooter from 2606 27th Apt. B was reported Thursday. Loss was $250.
A woman reported her wallet was stolen while she was at Walmart.
Hit-and-run vehicles struck parked vehicles at 4107 10th St. and at 2334 Main on Thursday.
A vehicle driven by Kenneth Roach was eastbound on Forest Ave. at 4:19 p.m. Thursday and struck a vehicle driven by Jefferey Corpening, who was southbound on Adams. Corpening was transported to Great Bend Regional Hospital with leg pain.
Two pairs of prescription safety glasses were stolen from a vehicle at 2409 Cheyenne Drive. Loss was $850.
Theft of two air conditioners from 1118 Morphy St. was reported Thursday.
A vehicle driven by Brenden Grauer was eastbound on 10th St. at 9:25 p.m. Thursday and sideswiped a vehicle driven by Marissa Zimmer, who was eastbound in the turning lane.
A vehicle driven by Charles Webster hit a building at 1010 Hubbard St. shortly before 9 a.m. on Saturday.
At 4:24 p.m. Saturday, a man reported his daughter being involved in a domestic dispute on May 30. He said the victim was at a Hutchinson hospital with a broken jaw.
A known person reportedly drove off from 2716 10th St. around 11 p.m. Saturday without paying for $51 worth of fuel.
