A stop sign was stolen from SW 30 Road and SW 10 Ave.
A vehicle hit a deer in the 700 block of North U.S. 281 at 9:38 p.m. Tuesday.
Great Bend Fire Department
Firefighters made nine ambulance runs on Tuesday and received one false alarm. There were no fires.
Great Bend Police
Tuesday reports:
Approximately $1,600 was taken from a purse at Goodwill, 1705 Main.
Stereo equipment was taken from a vehicle at 1122 Frey St.
A 9-year-old male was bitten by a dog in the 1300 block of Monroe St. around noon. The dog was picked up by the humane society because the owner was not at home.
A vehicle driven by Billy Symank was backing west in the 2000 block of 32nd St. at 1:18 p.m. Tuesday and struck a vehicle driven by Francis Ohnmacht, which was eastbound.
An individual said someone had forged one of his stolen checks at Walmart.
Officers responded to The Rack, 3322 Railroad Ave., at 9:06 p.m., after there was a report of a disturbance. This was on outside agency assist for the sheriff’s office, because patrol units were in the northern part of the county at the time. Officers were unable to make contact with anyone involved in a disturbance.
