Barton County Sheriff
Theft of approximately 12 antique phones from 398 North Washington Ave. reportedly occurred sometime Sunday night.
Roxanne N. Allende, Jennifer Lopez and Chet Whetham, all of Great Bend, were arrested at an Ellinwood residence at 1:30 a.m. Monday, on suspicion of possession of marijuana with intent to sell. Ellinwood Police Department assisted in the arrests at South Kennedy Ave. and West D St. All were booked into the Barton County Jail in lieu of $50,000 bond; Lopez and Allende were released Tuesday after posting surety bonds of $2,500 each.
Theft of seven or eight electric motors from 517 Kiowa Road was reported Monday.
An aggravated battery that allegedly occurred on April 23 in Pawnee Rock was reported Tuesday.
Great Bend Police
A known person entered the residence at 212 Chestnut St. and took items, it was reported Monday.
Someone reportedly kicked open the back door of the residence at 915 Monroe St. and left items in the residence, it was reported Tuesday. Unspecified items were collected as evidence.
Great Bend Fire Department
Firefighters made one ambulance run on Tuesday.
Lightning hit an apartment building at Paradise Lane and Bermuda Lane around 5 p.m., starting a fire. Two apartments had smoke and water damage.
A second storm-related call concerned a possible power pole on fire.
