Great Bend Police

Friday reports:

A vehicle driven by Lee Bretz was westbound in the 800 block of 10th St. changing lanes at 10:14 a.m. and struck a vehicle driven by Lowell Meyer, who was also westbound.

Several bicycles were reported stolen from Great Bend Honda-Kawasaki, 2111 10th St.

Two vehicles collided at Lakin Ave. and Adams St. at 3:08 p.m. after one motorist reportedly ran a stop sign. All parties refused treatment at the scene.

A cell phone was reportedly stolen from Great Bend Middle School, 1919 Harrison St.

Between 11:20 p.m. Friday and 12:59 a.m. Saturday, police dispersed five loud parties at five residences.

 

Saturday reports:

Police responded to a fight in progress at 4:34 p.m. at 19th and Washington. A bystander reported two subjects had another person pinned on the ground and a pocket knife was pulled; the subject on the ground allegedly broke a window and was breaking into a vehicle. Daniel Crowe was arrested for allegedly breaking into a vehicle and taking a wallet and checkbook.

A black utility trailer with a fold-out ramp on the back was reportedly stolen sometime Friday or Saturday from 5408 Eighth St.

 

Sunday reports:

Someone reportedly broke into the house at 1410 11th St. and stole two flat-screen televisions, two laptop computers, one desktop computer and a necklace. Loss was $1,000.

Someone reportedly broke into a storage unit at Ninth and Morphy and stole four motorcycles. Loss was $14,000.

$10 was reportedly stolen from the tip bowl at Chosen Wok restaurant, 3908 10th St.

At 4:06 p.m., a woman reported being battered by an unknown male at the Eagles, 1024 Main.

Theft of rings from 5501 Ninth St. Lot 91 reportedly occurred in the last week.

 

Barton County Sheriff

Theft of car parts from a 1995 Chevy Blazer at 340 NE 20 Ave. was reported Friday.

A tank battery leaked approximately 20 barrels of oil, Friday at SW 20 Road and SW 80 Ave.

A hit-and-run vehicle struck a Tahoe at 417 Cleveland in Great Bend, it was reported Friday.

A reported stabbing at 1:30 a.m. Saturday was actually a battery. After a fight in the parking lot of Willie J’s, 206 North U.S. 281, one man was arrested for battery and another was arrested for disorderly conduct.

A burglary at New Jerusalem Lutheran Church, 300 Santa Fe Ave., Pawnee Rock, was reported Saturday. Computer equipment was taken.

A stubble field was on fire Saturday afternoon, two miles north of the Barton/Russell County line on Susank Road.

A 1995 Geo driven by Anatacia Wright struck a deer just off U.S. 281 and NW 70 Road at 8:08 p.m. Saturday.

A vehicle was impounded Sunday evening after being left in the roadway in the 500 block of NW 10 Ave.
