Barton County Sheriff

Two vehicles collided on NE 130 Ave. and NE K-156 at 7:34 a.m. Monday. One driver said her brakes had failed. Claflin Ambulance responded, but there were no injuries.

A "rat-hole digger" owned by Vision Transportation of Wichita was stolen from 5133 Second St., it was reported Monday. The item was recovered from a SE 10 Ave. address.

A vehicle driven by Rick Schrieber hit a deer on NE 190 Road at NE 50 Ave., he reported Monday morning.

Theft of radiators from two motors at 1192 NE 200 Road was reported Monday.

Motorist Niccolo Loardi swerved to miss a deer on Sunset Road at NE 30 Road around 8:35 p.m. Monday and rolled his Chevy Equinox.

A deer ran into the side of a Kansas Gas truck on North U.S. 281 and West K-4 at 10:46 p.m. Monday, causing damage under $1,000.

A suspected meth lab was discovered at 395 North U.S. 281 at 10:51 a.m. Tuesday. Kansas Bureau of Investigation was contacted to assist.

A pickup hit a deer on North U.S. 281 and NE 50 Road at 8:23 p.m. Tuesday.

 

Great Bend Police

On Monday a Great Bend woman reported a theft from her bank account.

A motorist in a Dodge pickup hit a Wheatland fence in the 1800 block of Second St. and left the area, it was reported Monday afternoon.

A theft from 1416 Taft St. was reported Monday.

A gas skip by a motorist in a white pickup at 1906 Main was reported at 4:11 p.m. Monday.

Theft of a decal sticker from 2027 Morton St. was reported Tuesday.

A burglary at 2801 19th St. was reported Tuesday. A Wii and Game Boy electronic games were taken.

A $35.57 gas skip at 1315 10th St. was reported at 6:55 p.m. Tuesday.
