Barton County Sheriff

A storage unit at 2302 Railroad Ave. was broken into, it was reported Tuesday. There were items all over the parking lot and it appeared as many as three other units were possibly broken into.

A Pontiac driven by Mindy Crider hit a deer on NW K-96 at near NW 30 Ave. at 6:15 p.m. Tuesday.

 

Great Bend Police

Tuesday reports:

A $66.46 gas skip at 2716 10th St. was reported at 8:16 a.m. The suspect vehicle was a brown Buick.

A purse was stolen from 807 10th St.

Vehicles driven by Robert Mix and Sally Bayer collided at 11:27 a.m. at Park and Frey.

Three rings were stolen from 3109 24th St. Loss was $2,800.

A vehicle driven by Taryn Siegrist was southbound in the 1500 block of Main at 12:38 p.m. and rear-ended a vehicle driven by Brooke Thompson.

A black utility trailer was stolen from 1102 MacArthur Road.

A wallet was found on 10th St., and a bicycle was found by a trash can in the 2100 block of Morton St. Both were booked into evidence.

A Chrysler LeBaron reportedly stolen from 3910 Cedar Park Place was recovered in Rice County.

A flat-screen television and a DVD player were stolen from 805 Hubbard St.

A 2001 Dodge pickup at 1900 Lakin Ave. was damaged Tuesday night. Nicholas Curtice, 29, was later arrested for criminal damage to property and booked in lieu of $5,000 bond.

Someone damaged the mirror on a 1997 Pontiac van at 1615 11th St.

At 12:10 a.m. Wednesday, someone reported mirrors had been broken on 1997 and 1994 Chevy Suburbans at 1019 Holland St.
