Great Bend Police

A stereo was stolen from a vehicle at 1116 Holland St., it was reported last Tuesday.

A damaged vehicle tire at 1715 Morton St. was reported Tuesday.

Theft of a Garmin GPS device from a vehicle at 2027 27th St. was reported Tuesday. Loss was $50.

Theft from a vehicle at 2107 28th St. was reported Tuesday. A stereo, iPod and two flashlights were taken.

Theft of perfume from 3503 10th Apt. 21 was reported Tuesday.

A motorist in a dark Chevy Monte Carlo reportedly backed into another vehicle in the parking area at 2337 Washington at 2:47 p.m. Tuesday and left the area.

A vehicle driven by Loren Penka was southbound on Van Buren at 3:19 p.m. Tuesday and struck a vehicle driven by Robert Fortner, who was eastbound on 17th St.

A burglary at 1515 Broadway Ave. was reported Thursday. The occupant said someone entered the house, took a shower and then stole his ID.

On Wednesday morning, the owner of a silver Monte Carlo reported it was stolen from 1307 Odell St. sometime Tuesday night, and that it was involved in a hit-and-run accident and returned.

A vehicle driven by Irvin Felke was backing in the 2600 block of Ninth St. at 11:12 a.m. Wednesday and struck a vehicle driven by Bruce Furry.

A woman reported sending $1,800 to a friend in Wales, and later discovered the money did not go to her friend.

The back window on a vehicle at 2100 28th St. was broken and the stereo stolen, it was reported Wednesday.

A hit-and-run accident on Ninth St. was reported at 3:32 p.m. Wednesday. The suspect vehicle, a red Chevy truck, was last seen turning south onto Odell St. after hitting a light-colored car. An officer later located the vehicle at 800 Morphy St.

A screen was cut out of the north window on a residence at 5217 Broadway, and items were missing, it was reported Wednesday.

A gas skip by a driver in a gray pickup was reported at 1000 Main at 10:44 p.m. Wednesday.

Theft of a flat-screen TV from 3000 Gano St. was reported Thursday.

A motorist in a red Ford truck reportedly left 1315 10th St. without paying for gas at 4:40 p.m. Thursday.

A stop sign at 10th and Patton Road was blown down by the wind Thursday evening.

 

Barton County Sheriff

A burglary at 600 Main St. in Albert was reported Wednesday. A stereo was taken from the residence and a mirror was taken from a vehicle sometime between Sept. 30 and Oct. 5.

A car driven by Richard Sanders III hit a deer on K-96 at mile marker 167 at 12:15 a.m. Thursday.
