Great Bend Fire Department
Firefighters made three ambulance runs on Tuesday.
At 12:41 p.m. they responded to a residence at All Seasons Mobile Home Community, 4 NW 30 Road, for a smoke alarm that was set off by cooking. There was no fire and no damage.

Tuesday reports:
Someone damaged the steering column and ignition on a vehicle at 700 Baker Ave.
Items were stolen from a storage unit at 708 Jefferson St. Loss was $1,350.
A chain saw was turned in as "found property."
A pair of Nike sunglasses was stolen at Great Bend High School. Loss was $200.
Five checks were stolen from a checkbook at 2918 Gano St.
A Next-brand bicycle was booked in after it was left in someone’s yard.
Two wheel covers were stolen from a 1995 Pontiac at 1450 Ninth St.
Two personal checks were forged at 1017 Harrison St. for a total loss of $1,200.
A female at Great Bend Regional Hospital at 7:43 p.m. Tuesday reported being battered by a known person in the 2500 block of Walnut Dr.
A bicycle was stolen from 1800 Seventh St.
Barton County Sheriff
A vehicle hit a deer at 10:36 p.m. Monday on K-96.
At 11:52 p.m. Monday, an individual at Barton Community College, 245 NE 30 Road, reported theft of $11,000 from her checking account and losing her wallet.
A vehicle hit a deer one mile east of Ellinwood at 6:12 a.m. Tuesday on U.S. 56.
A riding lawn mower was reported missing Tuesday from 361 SW 60 Road, and a bike was found in the bushes there.
Kansas Highway Patrol
A Great Bend man was injured last Saturday when his motorcycle hit a deer in McPherson County. Michael David Feil, 52, was taken to Lindsborg Community Hospital in Lindsborg with undetermined injuries. He was not wearing a helmet. The accident occurred shortly before 8:30 p.m. on K-4, half a mile from the K-175 junction.
