Barton County Sheriff
A broken window that was apparently shot was discovered Tuesday morning at 1097 NE 130 Ave.
A hit-and-run vehicle ran into a truck at 4 NW 30 Road sometime Monday night.
Eric Tauscher, Hoisington, was arrested Tuesday, after he allegedly entered an occupied residence at 672 Barton Ave. and stole prescription drugs and $100 cash. He was booked into the Barton County Jail on charges of aggravated burglary and theft.
A burglary at 633 Flora Ave., Pawnee Rock, was reported Tuesday. Items taken included a gun from the house and a freestyle bike from the garage.
A 2009 Chrysler Aspen hit a deer on U.S. 281 north of Great Bend at 5:40 a.m. Wednesday, in front of Nobody’s.
A semitrailer reportedly rear-ended a Dodge Charger that was going about 10 mph on North U.S. 281 and K-4 around 10 a.m. Wednesday. Kansas Highway Patrol responded.
Several stop signs were damaged last weekend, at NW 180 Road and NW 90 Ave.; NW 210 Road and NW 100 Ave.; NW 100 Ave. and NW 230 Road. All had broken posts.

Great Bend Police
Theft of items from the kitchen at 3017 10th St. was reported Tuesday.
Someone shot the front door at 1207 Main with a BB, causing $385.40 in damage.
A vehicle driven by Leona Bartonek was westbound in the 4600 block of Broadway Ave. at 7:46 a.m. Wednesday and sideswiped a vehicle driven by Consuelo Chavez, who was also westbound on Broadway turning onto Sherman St.
A known person allegedly stole items from the store at 1811 Main.
A vehicle driven by Shirley Burrows was westbound on 12th St. at 5:58 p.m. Wednesday and struck a vehicle driven by Kristy Lytle, who was southbound on Morton.
A vehicle driven by Kaleb Howe was northbound on Patton Road at 6:50 p.m. Wednesday and struck a vehicle driven by Heather Weatherman, who was stopped in traffic.
