Great Bend Fire Department
Firefighters made eight ambulance runs Wednesday and six Thursday. There were no fires.

Great Bend Police
A vehicle driven by Rosemary Sanko was backing northeast in the 1900 block of Williams St. at 10:30 a.m. Thursday and struck a vehicle driven by Jason King, who was southbound.
An unknown person entered a residence at 2517 Lakin Ave. and took rings and a DVD player.
Sharon Ferguson was driving south in the 1300 block of Kansas Ave. at 1:53 p.m. Thursday and did a J-turn. Her vehicle was hit by a vehicle driven by Sharee Hill, who was backing from a parking stall.
Kyle Kaiser was backing from a parking stall in the 2900 block of 16th St. at 6:29 p.m. Thursday and struck a parked vehicle.
Cody Helsel was driving north on Monroe  near 17th St. at 6:33 p.m. and struck a vehicle driven by Gustavo Apodaco, who was stopped in the roadway.
A dog was reportedly stolen from 1443 Park Ave. Loss was $300.

Barton County Sheriff
A stop sign was damaged at NW 10 Ave. and NW 120 Road, it was reported Thursday.
Theft of a battery from a vehicle at 423 N. Wilkens St. in Heizer was reported Thursday.
A vehicle by Mary Wandra entered a ditch and struck a culvert in the 1400 block of NW 60 Ave. (Beaver Blacktop) at 3:27 p.m. Thursday.
