Great Bend Fire/EMS

The fire department responded to five Emergency Medical Service calls Wednesday and to one citizen assist. There were no fires.


Barton County Sheriff

Fraud was reported Wednesday at 59 SW 20 Road, Great Bend.

A fire was reported at 12:28 p.m. at Galatia.

A utility pole was down at 3:53 p.m. at the 4-H Building, 601 N. U.S. 281. Wheatland responded.


Great Bend Police

A non-injury crash was reported at 9:52 a.m. Wednesday at 19th and Washington.

Theft of medications was reported at 4:26 p.m. at 2429 Coronado Ave.

A non-injury crash was reported at 5:57 p.m. at Walmart.

A fight was reported at 8:02 p.m. at Buff Car Wash, 4800 10th St. Criminal damage to property was also reported.

An assault was reported at 8:55 p.m. in the 2300 block of 31st St.
