Great Bend Fire/EMS

Firefighters responded to seven Emergency Medical Service calls Monday.

There were two false fire alarms caused by smoke detector malfunctions.

A gas smell was reported at 8:14 a.m. in the 1700 block of 18th St. Nothing was found.


Barton County Sheriff

A non-injury crash was reported at 7:23 a.m. Monday in the 400 block of NE 20 Road, Great Bend.

A burglary was reported in the 1300 block of SW 30 Road.

A non-injury crash was reported at 5:47 p.m. at 126 Kiowa Road, Great Bend, after a vehicle hit a deer.

A fire was reported at 5:58 p.m. at 673 North U.S. 281.


Great Bend Police

Theft of a temporary registration tag was reported Monday at Holiday Inn Express, 3821 10th St.

An individual reported criminal damage to property at 2808 Washington St., where air conditioner parts were stolen.

Theft of a lawn mower was reported at 2545 16th St.

Kansas license tag 108FYS was reportedly stolen at Maria’s Mexican Grill, 3212 10th St.

A burglary was reported Tuesday morning at 1306 Wilson St.
