Barton County Sheriff
A vehicle hit a deer at 6:53 a.m. Thursday on North U.S. 281 and NW 70 Road.
A vehicle hit a deer at 1:15 p.m. Thursday on East U.S. 56 and NE 70 Ave.

Great Bend Police
A vehicle rear-ended another vehicle that was stopped in traffic on 10th St. around 11:56 a.m. Thursday.
A shoplifting suspect at Dillon’s, 4107 10th St., was served a notice to appear in municipal court.
Theft of an iPhone and car keys from 2715 18th St. was reported.
At 10:32 p.m., the K-9 unit was called out for a traffic stop in the 1000 block of Madison St. An officer located suspected prescription narcotics and paraphernalia. A case was taken for possible charges to be filed through Barton County District Court.
