Barton County Sheriff
A motorist hit a deer at 7:52 a.m. Monday at NE 50 Road and north U.S. 281.
A residence and tool shed at 214 Jackson Ave., Great Bend, were broken into, it was reported Monday.

Great Bend Police
A pair of boots was stolen from Orscheln Farm and Home, 5320 10th St., it was reported Monday.
More items were reported missing following a burglary at 1320 Roosevelt St. that was reported last Thursday.
Vehicles driven by Justin Peterson and Jesse McNett collided at 2:15 p.m. Monday at Seventh and Morphy, after Peterson allegedly failed to stop at a stop sign. He was transported to Great Bend Regional Hospital.
Theft from a Great Bend Tribune newspaper rack at 2201 10th St. was reported at 5:30 a.m. Tuesday.
