Great Bend Fire/EMS
Emergency Medical Service made five calls Monday. There were no fires.

Great Bend Police
A burglary at 1811 Jefferson St. was reported Monday. Jewelry valued at $90 was taken from the residence.
An unknown person allegedly wrote a check from a bank account that has been closed for 25 years.
A $10 gas skip was reported at Casey’s General Store, 2716 10th St.
A known person allegedly damaged a car with a baseball bat in the 1400 block of 16th St.
A phone was reportedly stolen from 5501 Ninth St. No. 83.

Barton County Sheriff
A man reported finding an abandoned truck in a creek in the middle of a field on the west side of the county Monday. The truck had been reported as stolen out of Barton County recently.
A battery allegedly occurred at 33 SE 30 Road.
A burglary that allegedly occurred about a week ago was discovered and reported Monday. Several guns were taken from 1077 NE 150 Ave., rural Claflin.
A vehicle hit a deer at 9:09 p.m. Monday on the east side  of Doonan’s, at the K-156/U.S. 56 junction east of Great Bend.
