Great Bend Fire/EMS
Firefighters made 10 ambulance runs on Friday, eight on Saturday, and five on Sunday. Units responded to one fire call on Friday At 3:48 p.m. units responded to 401 dogwood for a possible structure fire. Upon arrival the owner advised he smelled an electrical fire and smoke from the roof area however, there was nothing showing when units arrived. The home was checked for the source with the assistance of the power company and nothing was found. Units also responded to one fire call on Sunday, at 12:32 units responded to the composite for some grass smoldering. The fire was extinguished.

A unknown vehicle hit a parked vehicle at 1507 Broadway Ave.

Criminal use of a financial card was reported at 9751 B-29 way.
Car battery stolen at 1106 Morphy St.
A vehicle hit another vehicle that was stopped in traffic at 10th St., and K-96.
Theft of electricity and a tag at 805 Monroe St.

Non-injury accident occurred at 1208 Morphy St. A vehicle hit an owl.
A irrigation system was shot out at NW 30 Ave., and NW 60 Road.
Holes shot into a irrigation motor at NW 60 Road, and NW 40 Ave.
Approximately 7 cattle out at 700 Block NE 140 Road.
Non-injury accident occurred at 1051 NW 10 Ave. A vehicle lost control and hit a Railroad crossing sign.
Non-injury accident occurred at W U.S. 56 and SW 100 Ave. A vehicle hit a deer.
Aug. 9
A fire was reported at K-156 and mile marker 137, hay bails on fire.
Batteries stolen from 4 wheelers at NE 30 Ave., and NE 160 Road.
Non-injury accident occurred at NE 110 Ave., and E K-4. Driver fell asleep at the wheel.
Non-injury accident occurred at 209 NW 100 Road. A vehicle hit a cow.
