Great Bend Fire/EMS
Firefighters made six ambulance runs Thursday.
At 1:33 a.m. Friday they responded to Great Bend Regional Hospital, 514 Cleveland St., where a gas meter was leaking. The gas company was called to assist.

Barton County Sheriff
The BSCO handled the accident report when a police patrol unit was hit by another vehicle Thursday morning in Great Bend.
A vehicle rear-ended a car at 5:12 p.m. Thursday in front of the co-op elevator in Pawnee Rock.

Great Bend Police
Several forgery cases were taken Thursday.
A child in need of care case was taken.
A vehicle driven by Eugene Newfield backed into a GBPD detective’s patrol vehicle at 9:46 a.m. Thursday in the 1400 block of Main.
Vehicles driven by Thomas Perma and Manley Maden collided at 11:31 a.m. in the 2500 block of 10th St.
An employee at Dollar General, 1701 Main, called police at 9:38 p.m. to report a male shoplifter had fled the store.
Theft of an HP laptop computer from 1615 16th St. was reported.
