Great Bend Fire/EMS
Firefighters made four ambulance runs Tuesday and six Wednesday.
At 11:03 a.m. Tuesday, a hit-and-run vehicle hit a gas meter at 1434 17th St., causing a leak. (This is also reported as an accident on the police log.) The gas was shut off and the gas company responded.
At 02:03 a.m. Wednesday, firefighters responded to a possible structure fire at 1306 Madison St. They arrived to find a light odor of smoke in the upstairs. Further investigation showed a vaporizer was causing the odor.

Barton County Sheriff
The roads were snow-packed Tuesday, and a number of vehicles slid into ditches or became stuck or stalled. No injuries were reported.
 
Great Bend Police
Someone damaged the passenger mirror on a Ford F-350 at 1448 Lincoln Ave., it was reported Tuesday. Loss was $500.
Someone ripped the handle off the back door of the Pizza Hut at 4101 10th St., but did not gain entry to the building.
Vehicles driven by Stephanie Doero and Raechel Manley collided at 11 a.m. Tuesday at 4107 10th St.
Vehicles driven by Karl Alley and Calab Bartlet collided at 12:59 p.m. at 12th and Kansas.
A vehicle driven by Ryler Bass struck a fence at 2:29 p.m. in the 1400 block of 10th St.
Theft of keys from 1313 Main was reported.
A vehicle driven by Abigail Arias slid on snow in the 1100 block of Frey St. at 1:39 p.m. Wednesday and struck a parked vehicle.
A burglary was reported at 2100 24th St. Someone entered the residence and took items.
An officer responded to an alarm at 10:16 p.m. Wednesday at Doonan Pre-Owned, 2542 10th St. A damaged window was found.
