Great Bend Fire/EMS
Firefighters made two ambulance runs on Thursday, three on Friday, two on Saturday and three on Sunday. There was two fire calls on Thursday. At 3:11 p.m. units responded to 97 SW Ave. for smoke coming from a large pile of mulch. There was smoke coming from a pile of mulch and the city street department was contacted to assist with heavy equipment to break up the pile.
At 8:32 p.m. units responded to 3017 10th St. for a smell of natural gas. Units found a Gas Meter on the south east side of the building that was leaking from the regulator. Units then notified the gas company.

Dec. 24
Burglary was reported at 1110 Hubbard St.
A non-injury accident was reported at Broadway and K-96.
Theft of propane tanks was reported at Loves Country Store located at 1221 10th St.

Dec. 26
Theft of fuel was reported at Zip Stop located at 3620 10th St.
Criminal damage was reported at Great Bend Regional Hospital. The ID scanner on the emergency room door was broken.
Theft was reported at 1800 7th St. A moped was stolen.
Theft was reported at 2519 12th St. A Treager Grill was stolen.

Dec. 27
Burglary was reported at 2205 27th St. A garage was broken into and items were stolen.

Dec. 24
A non-injury accident was reported in the 900 Block of E K-4. A vehicle hit a deer.

Dec. 25
A non-injury accident was reported at mile marker 168 NW K-96 in Albert.
Theft was reported in the 5800 Block of Anchor Way.

Dec. 26
A non-injury accident was reported at 910 NE 120 Ave.
Theft was reported at 410 B St in Claflin.
An injury accident was reported at NE 30 Road and N Washington. A vehicle was heading northbound in the 300 Block of Washington. The vehicle entered the east ditch hitting the embankment and then rolled one complete turn landing on its wheels.
