A 22-year-old McCracken man died Sunday after a 2003 Dodge passenger car went off 220 Road in Ness County.
At 7:43 a.m., as Skyler Allen Jones was driving east on 220 Road, two miles west of McCracken, he lost control of the car. It veered off to the south, then rolled multiple times landing on its top. He was wearing a seat belt.
A 13-year-old girl from Ellis was injured Saturday night when the 2004 Ford Explorer she was riding in went off Interstate 70 in Ellsworth County, one mile east of the Sylvan Grove exit. The accident occurred at 10:30 p.m. when the driver, 43-year-old Michael James Bollig, also from Ellis, fell asleep. The westbound vehicle drifted off the north side of the roadway, striking a guard rail. It overturned in the north ditch, coming to rest on its right side. The injured passenger, Brittany J. Bollig, was taken to Ellsworth County Medical Center. Both were wearing seat belts.
