Great Bend Fire/EMS
Firefighters made 10 ambulance runs Monday.
They also checked on a gas leak at 2 p.m., at 166 South U.S. 281. They found a small gas leak on a shutoff valve on an outside heating unit. Kansas Gas was called and corrected the leak.
At 6:55 a.m. Tuesday, units responded to 4908 West 10th St. for an electric pole on fire. They found a 7,000 volt line arcing and the power pole smoldering. Wheatland electrical company was contacted and corrected the problem.

Great Bend Police
An accident involving a “county unit” was reported at 1:44 p.m. Friday on 12th St.
Theft of $400 in cash from 1401 Cherry Lane was reported.
A narcotics arrest was made at 2:19 a.m. Saturday at 2334 Main.
At 8:45 a.m. Saturday, a search warrant was executed at 2015 Baker Ave.
A vehicle was keyed at 1724 10th St.
A burglary was reported Sunday at 1620 Hubbard St. Two safes and $100 in cash were taken.
A vehicle driven by George Branberg was westbound on 10th St. at 11:56 a.m. Sunday and slid on ice, colliding with a vehicle driven by Lane Fish, who was eastbound in the 1600 block of 10th. Branberg’s vehicle also collided with two vehicles parked on Marmie’s lot.
Vehicles driven by Raul Rivas and Cristy Mortimer collided at 2:58 p.m. Monday at Broadway and Morton.
A known person was allegedly breaking items at Sunflower Diversified Service’s plan at 8823 Fourth St. He was served a notice to appear in municipal court.
Vehicles driven by John Brown and Armando Gonzales collided at 3:48 p.m. at 10th and Hubbard.
A PlayStation gaming system was reported stolen from 1708 Kansas Ave. Loss was $600.

Theft of a Chevy pickup was reported Monday at 320 NE 20 Ave.
