Great Bend Fire/EMS
Firefighters made four ambulance runs Tuesday.
At 12:41 p.m. they responded to 35 NW 48 Road for a large grass fire in the back yard. Chief Mike Napolitano said the most of the fire was in the grass but it did extend into an evergreen shelter belt between two properties. The fire was quickly extinguished.
United responded to a trailer house fire at 4:08 a.m. Wednesday.

Great Bend Police
A theft was reported Tuesday at Great Bend High School.
A vehicle driven by Brenda Geist backed into a parked vehicle at 5:56 p.m. on 10th St.

Barton County Sheriff
A vehicle hit a deer at 4:08 a.m. Wednesday at NE 90 Road and NE 10 Ave.
