Great Bend Fire/EMS
Firefighters made three ambulance runs Monday.
They were dispatched to River Bend Assisted Living, 3820 Broadway, at 1:40 a.m. Tuesday, after someone reported seeing smoke, but it was actually dust.

Great Bend Police
A vehicle driven by Larry Teager collided with a vehicle driven by Robert Fein at 12:33 p.m. Monday on 24th St.
A hit-and-run vehicle struck a parked vehicle in the 1500 block of 10th St.
A Kansas license plate was reported stolen.
A known person allegedly stole cat food from Love’s Country Store, 1221 10th St. On Monday a notice to appear in municipal court was signed and served.

Barton County Sheriff
A DVD and television were stolen from a locked room in student housing at Barton Community College, it was reported Sunday.
A hay bale was stolen from a field at K-156 and NE 20 Road, it was reported Monday.
A semitrailer went off East U.S. 56 near mile marker 215 at 1:58 a.m. Monday, after the driver swerved to miss a deer.
A farm truck reportedly hit a semi and kept going at 2:42 p.m. Monday on West K-4 and NW 120 Ave.
