Correction
A three-vehicle accent at Broadway and Stone occurred at noon last Thursday. A vehicle driven by Brenda Jones was eastbound and struck a vehicle driven by Ashly Barnett, who was southbound crossing Broadway. The impact pushed the Jones vehicle into a vehicle driven by Cathy Rhan, who was stopped at a stop sign. In Sunday’s Tribune, it was incorrectly reported that the Barnett vehicle hit the vehicle at the stop sign.

Great Bend Fire Department
Firefighters had six Emergency Medical Service calls Friday, three Saturday, four Sunday and four Monday.
There was a gas spill at 10:27 p.m. Friday at 2337 Washington St.
At 1:11 a.m. Monday, a person was burning trash in a fire pit at 2900 Gano St.; the fire was extinguished and a ticket was issued for illegal burning.
There was a false alarm Monday at 2536 Broadway.
At 7 a.m. Tuesday,  Great Bend responded to a mutual aid call from the Pawnee Rock Fire Department, to assist them with a vehicle and garage fire at 101 SW 130 Ave.
Other fires
A small ditch fire 3.5 miles north of Hoisington on Susank Road was reported at 9:49 p.m. Friday.

Barton County Sheriff
A vehicle hit a deer at 8:32 a.m. Friday on SE 20 Road and SE 60 Ave. and proceeded to Larned. Pawnee County Sheriff’s Office was asked to do a courtesy report.
A warning sign for crossing railroad tracks on NW 100 Road and NW 30 Ave. was stolen, it was reported Friday.
A known person allegedly stole an X-box 360 and Kinect gaming system from a family member in Barton County, it was reported Friday.
A motorist became distracted by a “low fuel” light that came on while he was driving east on K-4, half a mile east of NW 50 Ave., at 9:11 a.m. Saturday. The vehicle went into the ditch and rolled.
Criminal discharge of a firearm on property in the vicinity of 1500 NW 120 Ave. and 150 Road was reported Sunday. This may have been shots fired by trespassers hunting on private property.

Great Bend Police
A vehicle driven by Deanna Curtis was westbound on 31st St. at 7:22 a.m. Friday and struck a parked vehicle.
A Great Bend resident reported unknown persons writing checks on her account. At least four suspected forgeries were reported.
On Friday two males were served notices to appear in municipal court for allegedly shoplifting from Walmart.
Theft of checks from 1020 Roosevelt St. was reported Friday, and a short time later it was reported someone had written checks on the account.
A Hyundai was eastbound on Broadway at 11:40 p.m. Friday and struck a parked car and a parked pickup, pushing it into another parked vehicle. The driver left the scene.
On Saturday morning the owner of a 2006 Hyundai reported it had been stolen from 1608 Broadway on Friday.
A vehicle driven by Mario Quintana was northbound on Frey St. at 10:48 a.m. Saturday and struck a vehicle driven by Maria Rincon, who was westbound on 10th St. and reportedly ran a red light. Minor injuries were reported.
A known person allegedly stole money from 3720 10th St., it was reported Saturday. Loss was $129.81.
A vehicle driven by Katrina Moore pulled onto 10th St. from Casey’s General Store at 3:04 p.m. Saturday and struck a vehicle driven by Shawn Panzer, who was eastbound on 10th St.
A $67 gas skip by someone in a white sport utility vehicle at 2334 Main was reported at 4:50 p.m. Saturday.
An X-box 360 game system was stolen from 1801 Eighth St. Loss was $250.
Police attempted to arrest a man on a warrant, just after midnight on Saturday. He was chased on foot on Third St. and got away. The Barton County Sheriff’s Office log shows they assisted in the pursuit in the 300 block of Frey St., that the suspect was wearing a dark hoodie and ball cap and that a Tazer device had been used on him.
A vehicle driven by Joan Pivonka was eastbound on 10th St. changing lanes at 12:06 p.m. Sunday and struck another eastbound vehicle, driven by Jeffery Woodral.
A vehicle driven by Cynthia Hiss was backing from a drive at 2:05 p.m. Sunday and struck a vehicle driven by Chris Batt, who was southbound on Morton near 11th St.
Theft of 20-inch chrome wheels and tires from 405 Cedar St. was reported Sunday night.
A Great Bend officer recovered a stolen gun from Ellinwood. An outside agency assist report was completed Monday morning and the gun was released to the Ellinwood Police Department.
A vehicle driven by Carol Herter backed from a parking stall in the 1300 block of Polk St. at 1:33 p.m. Monday and struck a northbound vehicle driven by Linda Siefkes.
A fake $20 bill was passed at 3600 10th St., it was reported Monday.
A vehicle driven by Charlotte Stos was westbound on 10th St. at 2:02 p.m. Monday and struck a vehicle driven by Lois Demel, who was stopped in traffic at McKinley St.
A theft case was taken Monday after an individual reported paying for vehicle parts and not receiving them.
A $34.81 gas skip at 1000 Main was reported at 5:42 p.m. Monday.
