Great Bend Fire Department
Firefighters had two Emergency Medical Service calls on Thursday. They performed a carbon monoxide check at 9:19 a.m. at 2818 25th St., but found nothing.
There was a garage fire at 1:16 a.m. Friday at 2523 11th St., where a resident was smoking some meat. There was extensive damage to the structure and fire crews remained on the scene for several hours making sure the fire was out.
Great Bend Police
A vehicle driven by Daniel Gonzalez-Calderon was southbound on Main at 8:56 a.m. Thursday and struck a vehicle driven by Richard Preston, who was making a right turn at Broadway and Main.
Theft of a Kansas license tag from a pickup at 620 Hubbard St. was reported.
An alleged forgery that occurred on Jan. 13 was reported Thursday at 5320 10th St. A stolen check was written for the amount of $504.62.
A white powder at 2545 10th St. tested negative for narcotics and was identified as aspirin.
An aggravated burglary at 1701 Holland St. was reported at 8:35 p.m. Thursday. Someone entered the garage while the occupant was at home and took a fan and two plants.
