Broken Glass
Numerous instances of broken windows were reported to the Great Bend Police Department on Wednesday and Thursday.
Someone broke a window on a vehicle at 2015 Madison St.
A room window was broken at the Highland Hotel.
The window on a vehicle in the 1400 block of 11th St. was shot out, and the window on a van in the 2000 block of Cleveland St. was damaged.
Someone also broke the window on a vehicle on Van Buren St.
A known person allegedly stole a coat Wednesday from Walmart. She left before officers arrived, so a notice to appear in municipal court was signed but not served. At 4:23 a.m. Thursday, an officer located the suspect’s vehicle with the driver side window shattered, parked on Seventh St. near Morphy St., but was unable to make contact with the owner.
Someone broke the window on the front of the building at 2805 Ninth St., it was reported Thursday.

Great Bend Fire Department
Firefighters made five ambulance runs on Thursday. There were no fires.

Barton County Sheriff
A vehicle hit a deer on West K-4 and North U.S. 281 at 6:08 p.m. Thursday.

Great Bend Police
A vehicle driven by Andrea Wilkinson was southbound on Hickory at 10:43 a.m. Wednesday and struck a vehicle driven by Alexanderia Guevara, who was westbound on Ninth St.
A resident at the High Rise reported someone stealing medication from her room.
At 2:20 p.m. Wednesday a Great Bend police officer attempted to arrest Christopher Konrade at 1806 12th St., on an outstanding warrant. Konrade ran and was captured behind Charlie’s Place.
An injury accident was reported at 5:03 p.m. Thursday in the Walmart parking lot. Connie Helm was exiting her vehicle and failed to put it in park. It rolled over her foot and then struck Diane Dreher.
