Great Bend Fire/EMS
Firefighters made seven ambulance runs on Wednesday. At 10:37 p.m. they responded to Braum’s, where some bushes next to the drive-up speaker were on fire.

Great Bend Police
A check was written on a closed account, it was reported Wednesday. A forgery case was taken.
A sex offense was reported.
At 7:59 p.m., an individual reported a male attempting to enter vehicles on McKinley St. An officer made contact with Jared Keenan, who fled while being questioned. He was arrested and taken to the Barton County Jail, where he was booked in lieu of $2,500 bond.
At 3:02 a.m. Thursday, a burglary was reported at 2719 28th St. A black XBox, white XBox and a Phillips-brand stereo were taken.

Barton County Sheriff
A drug-tax seizure was made at 9:17 a.m. Wednesday on a vehicle in the 1300 block of 10th St.
BCSO, along with the Ellinwood Police Department and Kansas Highway Patrol troopers, were on the lookout for a male who reportedly left Lyons without paying for $71.91 in fuel, around 1:43 p.m.
At 8:05 p.m., BCSO assisted GBPD units at 12th and McKinley St.
At 10:15 p.m., an officer on road patrol was requested to help with a subject fighting at the jail. A “use of force” report was later taken.
A one-vehicle rollover accident with unknown injuries was reported at 10:31 p.m. on NE 1-156 and NE 80 Road.
