Great Bend Fire/EMS
Firefighters made three ambulance runs Thursday.
There was a small fire at 1111 Sherman at 3:58 p.m. At 7:24 p.m. they were dispatched to 1305 Eisenhower after a carbon monoxide detector was activated. Firefighters checked the house and did not find any CO.

Great Bend Police
On Thursday afternoon, a woman was served a notice to appear in municipal court, after allegedly shoplifting at Walmart. She was served a second NTA for shoplifting that evening.
Medication was reportedly stolen from 1214 Eisenhower St.

Barton County Sheriff’s Office
A vehicle rear-ended another vehicle at 6:25 p.m. Thursday on East U.S. 56, half a mile west of the K-156 junction.
A vehicle hit a cow at 6:38 p.m. Thursday in the 2100 block of NE 50 Ave.
