Firefighters had nine Emergency Medical Technician calls on Thursday. There were no fires.

Barton County Sheriff
A 2006 Ford cargo van was struck by an unknown vehicle in a parking lot at 592 NE K-156, it was reported Thursday. Damage was under $1,000.

Great Bend Police
A driver was cited for an not securing his load after losing pipe Thursday morning on K-96.
A vehicle driven by Kerry Tawater was making a left turn from Cherry Lane onto  Birchwood Drive at 10:48 a.m. Thursday and slid into a Toyota T-100.
A vehicle driven by Austin Williams backed into a parked vehicle in the alley in the 1400 block of 10th St. at 1:42 p.m. Thursday.
A vehicle driven by Ashley Pafford was eastbound on 30th St. at Williams at 2:54 p.m. and slid into a parked vehicle on the icy roads.
A vehicle driven by Josh Ellis was westbound in the 3000 block of 10th St. at 5:27 p.m. and rear-ended a vehicle driven by Miranda Morr, which then rear-ended a vehicle driven by Dana Pochucha.
Unknown persons entered a car at 2208 25th St. and took a wallet. Loss was $300.
