Great Bend Fire/EMS
Firefighters made seven ambulance runs Tuesday and four Wednesday.
At 5:48 a.m. Thursday they responded to 1300 Stone St. for an alarm. There was no fire; the malfunction was due to a low coolant temperature alarm in the generator. Maintenance personnel were contacted.
Great Bend Police
Theft of a wallet from Dillons, 1811 Main, was reported Wednesday. Later in the day, another person reported theft of a cell phone at that address.
At 4:58 p.m., a man reported being battered by two subjects in the area of Hejny Retail Liquor Store, 821 Main. He later identified one male suspect.
At 5:01 p.m., there was a report of a dog in the back yard of 1612 Holland St. with no shelter. It was picked up by the humane society and a cruelty to animals case was taken.
A hit-and-run vehicle struck a parked vehicle at 805 Williams St.
At 10:02 p.m., an employee at Love’s Country Store, 1221 10th St., reported a male subject shoplifting candy.
