Great Bend Fire/EMS
Firefighters made three ambulance runs Monday. There were no fires.

Great Bend Sheriff
The K-9 unit was called to assist law enforcement in Rice County to check two semitrailers for drugs at 400 Logan St. in Lyons, at 9:20 a.m. Monday.
A vehicle hit a deer 2.5 miles west of Great Bend on U.S. 56 at 10:19 p.m. Monday.

Great Bend Police
A burglary at 5220 10th St. was reported Monday. Televisions were taken.
A burglary at 926 Madison St. was reported. A gold necklace and health records were taken.
A shoplifting case was taken at 2334 Main.
Police received a report at 7:50 p.m. Monday that a brown dog was loose and chasing people who were walking in the 1800 block of 20th St. The dog was picked up and the owner was cited for having an animal with no rabies vaccination. Police also checked an area on 30th St. around 10 p.m., after a man reported a black lab chasing his wife as she was walking their dog.
Two men reportedly walked out of the store at 3503 10th St. Monday night without paying for items.
A fireworks complaint in the 600 block of Odell St. was lodged at 11:45 p.m.
Police checked a location in the 2500 block of 11th St. at 12:52 a.m. Tuesday, after someone reported a subject was cooking meth in a freezer. The subjects and freezer were located; they were smoking meat.
