Great Bend Fire/EMSFirefighters made three ambulance runs Friday, two Saturday and four Sunday.At 2:14 p.m. Friday they responded to 1714 Adams St. for a fire on the porch. The homeowner was using a garden hose to extinguish the fire.At 10:42 p.m. Saturday they responded to a possible ditch fire on West U.S. 56 at SW 60 Ave., and at 11:50 p.m. there was a fire on the dike west of Stone Lake.Kansas Highway PatrolA Lyons man was taken to Wesley Medical Center in Wichita following a one-vehicle accident that occurred south of Ellinwood at 3:07 p.m. Saturday on SE 105 Ave., 0.1 miles south of SE 10 Road. Jessie A. Thurman, 30, was northbound in a Chevy Cavalier that went across southbound lanes, entered the west ditch and struck a concrete culvert.
