Great Bend Fire/EMS
Firefighters made three ambulance runs Friday, two Saturday and four Sunday.
At 2:14 p.m. Friday they responded to 1714 Adams St. for a fire on the porch. The homeowner was using a garden hose to extinguish the fire.
At 10:42 p.m. Saturday they responded to a possible ditch fire on West U.S. 56 at SW 60 Ave., and at 11:50 p.m. there was a fire on the dike west of Stone Lake.

Kansas Highway Patrol
A Lyons man was taken to Wesley Medical Center in Wichita following a one-vehicle accident that occurred south of Ellinwood at 3:07 p.m. Saturday on SE 105 Ave., 0.1 miles south of SE 10 Road. Jessie A. Thurman, 30, was northbound in a Chevy Cavalier that went across southbound lanes, entered the west ditch and struck a concrete culvert. He was wearing a seat belt.

Great Bend Police
Damage to the window of a van at 1104 8th St. was reported Friday.
An aggravated assault case was taken Friday after a 20-year-old male allegedly swerved at a woman and her child with a vehicle in the 3100 block of Williams St.
A vehicle driven by Kayla Robertson was westbound in the 2300 block of 10th St. at 2:05 p.m. Friday and struck a vehicle driven by Irma Martinez, which was also westbound.
A Great Bend resident reported someone using his debit card at several locations in Great Bend on Friday.
Saturday morning, police received reports of windows shot out on vehicles at 2401 Coronado Ave. and 2515 Quivira Ave.
Jeremy Brashear, 25, was arrested Saturday after allegedly calling Check Into Cash, 2829 10th St., and making threats to employees. Bond was set at $50,000.
A Great Bend resident reported theft of her debit card and its unauthorized use at multiple locations on Saturday.
Someone scratched a vehicle at 2815 Meadowlark Lane.
Windows were broken Saturday on a Buick LaSabre at 5306 Eisenhower Ave. and a trailer at 227 5th St. At 2:39 a.m. Sunday, a resident at 227 5th St. reported a known person throwing a brick through a window.

Barton County Sheriff
A truck reportedly stolen from Rice County was recovered in the 700 block of NE 140 Road on Friday.
A burglary at 419 SE 20 Road and SE 40 Ave. was reported Saturday. Someone broke into a shed and stole gas from trucks.
Items were reportedly stolen from 496 NE 110 Ave.
