Great Bend Fire/EMS
Firefighters made six ambulance runs on Wednesday.
There was one fire call. At 10:01 a.m. units responded to 3211 Forest Ave. for a fire in the back yard. They found a small fire pit with approved wood logs burning; however, the occupant was also burning leaves from the recent hail storm, which is not allowed in the city. The fire was extinguished.

Theft was reported at Best Western Angus Inn located at 2920 10th St.
Theft was reported at 1608 Holland St. A 2001 Chevy bearing Kansas tag number 162-CEW was stolen.
Theft was reported at 2920 Quivira Ave.
A non-injury accident was reported at Broadway Avenue and Harrison Street.
An injury accident was reported at 16th Street and U.S. 281 bypass.
A non-injury accident was reported at 3913 Forest Ave.
