Great Bend Fire/EMS
Firefighters made five ambulance runs Friday, four Saturday and five Sunday.
These was one false alarm Friday.
At 9:26 p.m. Sunday, firefighters responded to a possible structure fire at 1908 Cherry Lane. They found a fan on the air conditioner was overheating, and there was no fire.

Great Bend Police
An injury accident was reported at 3:17 p.m. Friday when a vehicle driven by John Denning struck a parked vehicle in the 2500 block of Lakin Ave.
A Hoisington resident wanted to report someone using her debit card from a Great Bend bank online, but was referred to the Hoisington Police Department.
Someone shot out the window on a vehicle on 22nd St.
A hit-and-run vehicle struck a vehicle parked at 1318 Kansas Ave., it was reported Saturday.
Vehicles driven by Kevin Darkis and Charles Criswell collided at 1:45 p.m. Saturday in the 3200 block of 10th St.
A vehicle driven by Jeff Hood struck a parked vehicle at 6:45 p.m. in the 1200 block of Odell St.
One bicycle was stolen and another left at 2903 Paseo Dr.
At 1:19 a.m. Sunday, theft of a cell phone from 301 Maple St. was reported.
A propane tank was stolen from 2524 Shawnee Dr.
Vehicles driven by Margaret Mears and Alan Mettling collided at 12:16 p.m. Sunday on Patton Road.
Vehicles driven by Jay Denton and Dilansy Tracy collided at 1:25 p.m. at 5016 12th St.
Theft of an all terrain vehicle from the 1200 block of Polk St. was reported at 8:36 p.m.; at 9:40 p.m. the owner reported finding the ATV.


Barton County Sheriff
An injury accident was reported at 6:16 p.m. Friday on NW 60 Ave. and NW 200 Road.
A vehicle hit a deer at 8:35 p.m. Friday on north U.S. 281 at mile marker 113.
At 8:59 p.m., a woman reported her husband swerved to miss a deer on north U.S. 281 and NE 20 Road and wound up in the ditch. A family member later took him to the hospital because his hip was swollen.
A Pontiac hit a deer at 9:26 p.m. on NW 100 Road and NW 20 Ave.
A motorist in a Chevy Traverse reported hitting a deer head-on at 9:59 p.m. at NE 120 Ave. and NE K-156.
A Pontiac hit a deer at 1:31 a.m. Saturday in the 400 block of north U.S. 281. The windshield was shattered.
Backup was called at 1:53 p.m. Saturday for a fight at the jail.
A possible burglary was reported in the 400 block of SE 60 Ave.
At 12:56 a.m. Sunday, officers responded to a report of a party with minors drinking in the 100 block of NE 20 Road.
Officers responded to a report of a fight in progress at 3:57 a.m. Sunday on the south side of the 30 block of Kiowa Road.
Windows were broken and items stolen from 338 North U.S. 281, it was reported Sunday.
Around noon on Sunday, a woman reported hitting a deer Saturday night on NW K-96 and NW 90 Ave.
An injury accident was reported at 3:30 p.m. Sunday at 164 North U.S. 281. Mike Girton, Great Bend, said he fell and his wife jumped out of their motor home to help him, but she forgot to put the vehicle in park and it ran over her foot. The motor home then ran into a telephone pole.
Theft of two barrels of copper wire from 105 South U.S. 281 was reported Sunday.
