Great Bend Fire/EMS
Firefighters made five ambulance runs Wednesday.
At 3:37 p.m. Wednesday, trucks responded to a car fire at 3400 24th St. The fire was out when they arrived; the owner said the pickup backfired and caught the air filter on fire.
At 7:49 a.m. Thursday, units checked a light pole that was knocked down in the 2600 block of Dry Creek. The power company was contacted.

Vehicles driven by Gerald Mauler and Charles McIntosh II collided at 8:44 a.m. Thursday in the 2300 block of 10th St.
Theft of $3,500 over the Internet was reported by a local resident.
Kansas motorcycle license tag 79 CDG was reported stolen from 1443 22nd St.
A wallet was reportedly stolen at Chosen Wok restaurant, 3908 10th St.
Vehicles driven by Donald Jones and Don Shokins collided at 3:54 p.m. in the 1200 block of 8th St.
A driver’s license was reportedly stolen at 1409 Williams St.
A burglary was reported at 1721 1/2 12th St. Someone entered the residence and took items.
