Pickup driver leaves after backing into wheelchair
A motorist in a pickup backed into a pedestrian in a motorized scooter at 11:54 a.m. Saturday at 1612 Main, then left the scene. According to information from the Great Bend Police Department, the pedestrian, Lynn Muriche, sustained minor injuries but refused treatment at the scene. Police have the license number of the vehicle and believe the driver has been identified.

Firefighters made six ambulance runs Friday, four Saturday and four Sunday. There were no fires.

Check forgeries were reported Friday in Great Bend.
A lost handgun was reported in the 1100 block of Macarthur Road.
At 3:56 p.m. Friday, police received a reported that Richard Cannon, who had an attempt to local (ATL) order from McPherson, might be en route to a Baker Ave. address. At 4:18 p.m., an officer reported stopping Cannon on 10th St. There was a brief vehicular pursuit and Cannon was arrested at 21st and Hubbard St. He was booked into the county jail on charges of driving under the influence, felony flee and elude, reckless driving, open container, no driver’s license, no insurance and expired registration. Bond was set at $5,000.
A motorist in a white Chevy struck a parked vehicle in the 1400 block of Main around 8:20 p.m. Friday, and left the area.
Vehicles driven by Isaac J. Enochs and Mauro Alber Villanueva-Tarango collided at 2:50 p.m. Saturday on 10th St.
A dog bite was reported at 5:28 p.m. Saturday in the 2900 block of Main.
Someone keyed a vehicle at 1109 Main, it was reported Sunday morning.
Leland Vasques was driving a Harley-Davidson motorcycle westbound on Second St. at 3:41 p.m. Sunday when he lost control of it and laid the bike over. It was reported as an injury accident but he refused treatment at the scene.
A burglary was reported at the Baltzell Motel, 705 10th St. Someone entered a room and took medication.
A dog bite was reported at 10:44 p.m. Sunday in the 1900 block of Hubbard St.
A known person allegedly broke the windshield on a car at 2807 Gano St.

Barton County Sheriff
A burglary was reported Friday at 323 Marla St., Apt. 4, Great Bend. Several items were missing from the apartment.
A vehicle hit a deer at 7:03 a.m. Saturday on NE 50 Ave. and NE 140 Road.
A vehicle hit a deer at 9:27 p.m. Saturday at NW 130 Ave. and NW 50 Road.
A fight was reported at 11:04 p.m. Saturday at the Barton County Detention Center, 1408 Kansas Ave. A case was taken for battery of a detention officer. Mercedes Mater, Hoisington, was booked on multiple charges, in lieu of two $50,000 bonds.
A burglary was reported Sunday at 4 NW 30 Road Area 10 Lot 25.
