Great Bend Fire/EMS
Firefighters made five ambulance runs on Monday. There were two fire calls. At 11:33 a.m. trucks responded to the court house where there was a report of small grass fire outside on the east side. Upon arrival units found a small grass fire that was started by a discarded cigarette. The fire was quickly extinguished.
At 1:37 p.m. trucks responded to a grass fire at 200 NE 60 avenue. Upon arrival units found a fast moving fire in the west ditch, the forward progress was stopped but not before it jumped the road and started the east ditch burning. The fires were extinguished and units were on the scene for an hour extinguishing hot spots. Cause of the fire was a discarded cigarette.

Great Bend Police
Burglary was reported at 2102 30th St. A window was shot out with a BB gun.
Fraud was reported at 2103 27th St.
Fraud was reported at 105 3rd St.
Criminal damage was reported at Discount Laundry located at 2201 10th St. An unknown subject damaged the benches.

Barton County Sheriff
Theft was reported at 563 NW 20 Ave.
Theft was reported at Superior Storage located at 210 N Washington.
