Great Bend Fire/EMS
Firefighters made nine ambulance runs on Friday, one on Saturday and nine on Sunday. There where two fire calls and one fire assist.
At 8:13 a.m. on Friday the Great Bend Fire Department sent a brush truck to Barber County to assist with the wildland fire there.
At 10:23 p.m. on Sunday units responded to Walgreens for a CO check. CO was found and the gas company was notified and building evacuated until the problem was corrected. Units went back at 12:30 p.m. to check again and there was no CO at that time. At 1:34 p.m. units responded to the river, west of McKinley street for a fire. Upon arrival units found a tire that was burning with no one around.

Great Bend Police
March 25
A non-injury accident was reported at Broadway and Washington Avenue.
The GBPD made a traffic stop at 1:51 p.m. at 1900 Odell St. Jeremy Palmer, 43, was pulled over for illegal tags, Palmer took off in the vehicle and fled the area.
Pursuit was Initiated and terminated. The vehicle was found in the 400 Block of Hickory where Palmer fled on foot.
Palmer was pursued on foot and taken into custody.
Palmer was booked for possession of meth and other charges.

A non-injury accident was reported at 3300 Lakin ave.
Fraud was reported at 2701 29th St.
A non-injury accident was reported at 1000 Baker Ave.
Theft of a bicycle was reported at 3023 Forest Ave.
A non-injury accident was reported at 19th and Madison St.
March 27
Theft of a vehicle was reported at 905 8th St.
March 28
A non-injury accident was reported at 1303 Baker Ave.

Barton County Sheriff
March 25
Burglary was reported at NE 10 Ave. and NE 30 Road. A shed was broken into.
A non-injury accident was reported at 330 E U.S 56.
March 26
A non-injury accident was reported at mile marker 112 on U.S. 281.
