Kansas
Highway Patrol
A Macksville woman and child were injured Wednesday in a collision that occurred at 2:06 p.m. in Topeka. A Saturn driven by Tina Marie Miller, 34, from Macksville was waiting to turn left to Emland from Gage and was truck in the rear by a Hyunda Sonata driven by Sung Sik VanHorn, 58, Topeka. Miller and Landon Hudson, 3, were transported to Stormont Vail Hospital. Miller was wearing a seat belt and the boy was properly restrained in a car seat.

Great Bend Fire Department
Firefighters made three ambulance runs Wednesday. There were no fires.

Great Bend Police
A vehicle driven by Jamie Moore was westbound in the 4800 block of 10th St. at 1:52 p.m. Wednesday and struck a vehicle driven by Gailen Harper, who was also westbound.

Barton County Sheriff
A pickup driven by Justin Ferguson hit a deer on K-96, west of Great Bend at mile marker 178, at 6:24 a.m. Wednesday.
A burglary in rural Stafford County was reported. Tools and equipment from a drilling rig were taken.
A rape involving a 16-year-old victim and two juvenile suspects allegedly occurred over spring break, possible at a river near Hoisington.
A motorist from Great Bend hit a turkey Wednesday, five miles east of Rush Center on K-96. Barton County took a courtesy report for Rush County.
