Great Bend Fire Department
Firefighters made five ambulance runs on Monday. They checked on a smoke smell at 2202 Kansas Ave. at 3:37 p.m., and an electrician  was called to fix the problem.

There was a non-injury accident involving a city vehicle at 10:50 a.m. Monday at 1217 Williams St. Kansas Highway Patrol handled the report.
A vehicle driven by Sean Ruble was westbound in the inside lane of 10th St. at Kansas Ave. at 11:45 a.m. and struck a vehicle driven by Michael Oberle, who was westbound in the outside lane.
A vehicle driven by Michael Foos was backing north on Morton St. at 11:57 a.m. and struck a vehicle driven by Sharon Anglemyer, who was stopped in traffic on Morton at 10th St.
Burglary and theft were reported at 1219 Polk St.
A burglary at 719 Morphy St. was reported. An iPod and clothes were taken.
Theft of prescriptions from Walmart Supercenter, 3503 10th St., was reported.
A victim reported forgeries at Walmart and Love’s Country Store.
A vehicle driven by Daniel Clawson was backing eastbound on Grant St. at 4:01 p.m. Monday and struck a vehicle driven by Wesley Gingerich, who was northbound on Grant.
A Great Bend resident reported Monday that a laptop computer was stolen from her vehicle on Feb. 1, at an unknown location in Great Bend. She also reported someone using her debit card at Z’s Liquor.

Barton County Sheriff
A vehicle driven by Dale Boxberger struck a deer on north U.S. 281 near NE 80 Road at 5:52 p.m. Monday.
